If you have a 9/11 related cancer and you were diagnosed before October 12, 2012 you have until October 12, 2014 to register with the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund. Should the 9/11 Victim Compensation add any other illnesses as a covered condition, you will have 2 years from the date the illness was added, but no later than October 3, 2016, which is when the VCF officially closes. World Trade Center Health Program Marks 2nd Year Of Providing Free Health Care For 9/11 First Responders Under The Zadroga Bill

The WTHP has partnered with many other advocate groups in a campaign to reach as many people as possible are who were exposed to 9/11 toxins and debris in order to ensure that they know about the program and get them to enroll so that they can receive the free health care they deserve. Recently, the WTCHP added medical monitoring and treatment for those who responded volunteered and performed clean- up and recovery efforts in the attacks at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA and the airplane crash in Shanksville, PA. A petition for prostate cancer coverage under the WTCHP was organized by the New York City Patrolmen's Benevolent Association and given to the World Trade Center Health Program Director, Dr. John Howard on May 2 of this year.
