This new partnership with NYCERS is good news as Claimants working for these New York City agencies may have been finding it difficult to obtain proof documentation. The general rule is that the VCF requires Claimants to provide two forms of proof. Such proof may include employment records, contemporaneous medical records and witness affidavits. So let's get the score straight so far. Worby Groner Edelman Napoli and Bern are abandoning 9/11 clients; Parker Waichman Kushlefsky and Barasch are not abandoning. Who's on deck? Who cares? All this jockeying amongst various attorneys regarding representation of now dumped 9/11 clients is rather disgusting. Seriously ill 9/11 rescue, recovery and cleanup workers are hurt by these shenanigans. Essentially, all the dumped clients will now have to fork over another 10% fee to new lawyers because "that firm" decided that earning $200 million on the original case would not compensate them fairly to finish up the Zadrga paperwork for their clients too.
